19/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - Cretu presents “Integrity Pacts” for European funds. On Thursday 19 March, Corina Cretu, the European commissioner for regional policy, presented a new pilot project for guaranteeing appropriate allocation of European funds. This Integrity Pact is a legally binding document between the contracting parties to follow a transparent and efficient procurement process. Over the next few months, Cretu will be encouraging all member states to sign up to these pacts. The instrument was put together by Transparency International. This NGO will be organising a conference on the subject on 5 May in Brussels. (JC)
