13/02/2015 (Agence Europe) - MEDREG consults stakeholders on Mediterranean interconnections. The association of Mediterranean energy regulators, MEDREG, launched its first public consultation on Wednesday 11 February, on the basis of its report on the main obstacles to the efficient use of existing gas and electricity infrastructure in the Mediterranean basin, and on the challenges to financing interconnection projects. The interested parties will have until 18 March to respond to the consultation via an online questionnaire on the MEDREG website. An assessment of the responses will be presented at a round table debate organised in Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) on 29 April. (EH)
