18/12/2014 (Agence Europe) - New meeting in mid-January. The E3+3 (Germany, France, United Kingdom and China, United States, Russia) and Iran are to meet again in mid-January, a European source told EUROPE on Thursday 18 December. “The E3+3 and Iran will meet again in mid-January to continue the diplomatic efforts to find a full diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue”, the source stated. The previous day, the Russian deputy minister for foreign affairs, Sergei Ryabkov, said that the meeting will be held in the same format as the meeting on 17 December - in other words, at the political leaders level. The European source was not able to confirm this information. “The Iranian delegation and Helga Schmid are trying to agree on the definitive date and place”, Ryabkov stated. The negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme have been extended until 30 June 2015. (CG)
