Brussels, 15/12/2014 (Agence Europe) - Foreign ministers, at their meeting on Monday 15 December, adopted a renewed EU approach towards Bosnia and Herzegovina on its EU accession path “throughout which all conditions, including the implementation of the Sejdic-Finci ruling will have to be met”.
Ministers call on EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and on Accession Negotiations Commissioner Johannes Hahn to continue to engage with the Bosnia and Herzegovina leadership to “secure at the earliest its irrevocable written commitment” to undertake reforms in the framework of the EU accession process.
Work will begin as early as this Tuesday, Mogherini said. Once the written commitment is approved by the various parties in Bosnia, the Council will come to a decision on the entry into effect of the stabilisation and association agreement. EUROPE will return to this. (CG)
