26/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - Council approves earmarking EGF for Finland and France. On Tuesday 25 November, the Council of the EU adopted two decisions paving the way for earmarking European Globalisation Funds (EGF) in Finland and France. In Finland, €1.43 million will help 634 former workers from the STX Finland Oy shipyards. In France, €918,000 will be earmarked for the 760 workers made redundant by the GAD company, working in the pig slaughterhouse and meat processing sector. (JK)
