On Tuesday 4 November, the EU and Algeria launched three institutional twinning projects in favour of the sectors of health security, the protection and labelling of agricultural products and products of agricultural origin, states a press release from the European delegation in Algiers. The three projects, which will receive €5 million in Community funding, will be implemented over the next two years, in partnership with France and Italy. The objective is to reform the institutional and regulatory apparatus in the sectors cited, and the operational process of the bodies in charge of recognition of products and indications of origin.
