Decision shortly on further funds for Chernobyl confinement

Brussels, 06/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - The governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will take a decision by the end of November on a proposal for additional EBRD contributions for the completion of the Chernobyl New Safe Confinement on the site of the 1986 nuclear accident. The proposal was adopted by the board of directors on Wednesday and will now be transmitted to the Bank's shareholders, the Bank announced on 31 October.
