EU provides €3 billion in support for Horn of Africa up to 2020

Brussels, 29/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - The European Union will be providing development aid worth €3 billion for organisations in the Horn of Africa region. This amount will be provided for the current period up until 2020. This announcement was made during a joint visit on 27-29 October by the Deputy Director-General for DG Development, Marcus Cornaro, and Alexander Rondos, the EU's Special Representative for three countries in the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Kenya.
