Commission concerned over Hungarian internet tax plan

Brussels, 29/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has slammed Hungarian plans, submitted to parliament on 21 October, to introduce an internet tax. Digital Affairs Commissioner Neelie Kroes has given her support to the tens of thousands of protesters who have taken to the streets of Budapest in recent days to demonstrate their opposition to a proposal they say is a threat to freedom.
