Ebola - €24.4 million to develop vaccines

Brussels, 23/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 23 October, the European Commission announced that it was to mobilise €24.4 million for research into Ebola. This funding will go to five projects, from large-scale clinical trials into a potential vaccination to tests on new and existing compounds to treat the virus. The money, which will come from the Horizon 2020 programme, will be made available in an accelerated procedure. (IL)
