Strasbourg, 16/09/2014 (Agence Europe) - On 15 September, the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, announced that the election by the EP of the new European Ombudsman would take place during the 2015 January plenary session (12-15 January).
The individual selected will replace Emily O'Reilly who has held this post since October 2013.
The call for candidacies was published in the Official Journal on 2 September and candidacies must be submitted by 30 September at the latest....
