Canete undercuts suspicions of conflict of interest

Brussels, 16/09/2014 (Agence Europe) - He had been eagerly awaited in the hearings process by MEPs. Spanish Christian Democrat, Miguel Arias Canete, 64, the commissioner designate for climate and energy in the future Juncker Commission, however, managed to pre-empt MEPs with his announcement on Tuesday 16 September that he had done everything necessary to eliminate any suspicions of conflict of interest surrounding him.
