09/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - EBRD loan cautiously approved. On Monday 7 July, the Constituent Tunisian Assembly gave the go-ahead to a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development of 398 million dinars (about €180 million), that will go directly into the state coffers. The loan is for 30 years, 9 of them interest-free, on a variable interest rate. The parliamentarians are concerned that the variable interest rate may get Tunisia more into debt. (FB)
