02/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - €30.7 million in loans to improve water installations. On Tuesday 1 July, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced that it is providing two loans totalling €30.7 million to help improve the quality and reliability of water supply services and to improve the upgrading of wastewater treatment in Armenia. The first loan of €25.5 million is to be used for the rehabilitation and construction of water and sewage infrastructure in Armenia's secondary cities and small communities. The second loan of €5.2 million will support the upgrading of water supply infrastructure in selected areas of Armenia's capital Yerevan and several surrounding villages. (CG)
