Brussels, 16/06/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 16 June, the European Parliament published the final list of the 751 MEPs who will sit there during the legislative period 2014-2019.
According to a final update, the distribution of MEPs by political groups was as follows: - Christian Democrat group EPP: 221 seats (29.43% of the total); - Social Democrat group S&D: 191 seats (25.43%); - Conservative group ECR: 63 seats (8.39%); Liberal group ALDE: 59 seats (7.86%); - ecologist and regionalist group Greens/EFA: 54 seats (7.19%); - liberal Left group GUE/NGL: 52 seats (6.19%); - independent MEPs: 43 seats (5.73%); - EFD group: 32 seats (4.26%); - others: 36 seats (4.79%).
