At its Congress on Monday 2 June, the GIRP (which represents pharmaceutical and medical product distributors) expressed its concern at European legislation on medical devices. The GIRP believes that the more stringent checks required of distributors to ensure manufacturers have respected enhanced safety requirements, could lead to products being out of stock. (IL)
