Brussels, 07/05/2014 (Agence Europe) - A meeting of experts was held in Barcelona on Tuesday 6 May (and was due to continue to the next day) to discuss developing road transport in the Maghreb and, in particular, the planned trans-Maghreb motorway project to be funded in the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean policy.
The meeting was organised by the Centre for Transportation Studies for the Western Mediterranean (known by its French acronym, CETMO), which is providing technical secretariat support services in combination with regional organisations such as the UfM (Union for the Mediterranean).
The aim is to lay down an action plan for the completion of the trans-Maghreb motorway and work to complete the sections on the borders between the countries of the region. (FB)
