Brussels, 11/04/2014 (Agence Europe) - On 7 April, the UfM (Union for the Mediterranean) announced that it has “hallmarked” four projects: - promotion of civic education; - green industries and entrepreneurship; - creation of a Mediterranean water expertise platform; - creation of a wind farm in Jordan.
Over these four projects, all of which have already been “hallmarked” hangs the question of funding. Several of the projects are still shelved, due to a lack of money other than that already earmarked by the EU to implement them. Generally speaking, the UfM does no more than to “hallmark” projects devised and, in some cases, funded by others. (FB)
