Brussels, 11/04/2014 (Agence Europe) - The EU wishes to step up and its cooperation with Morocco in the field of energy, as part of a vision of “sustainable economy”, European Commission Director Michael Köhler said in Rabat on Tuesday, quoted by the Moroccan press agency, MAP.
“The development of the energy sector in Morocco comes as part of a vision of regional integration in which South-South cooperation has a privileged place”, he said, stressing the importance of the integration of the European electricity market to Morocco, MAP reports. The agency points out that, under the bilateral cooperation envelope, €76.6 million has been allocated to energy efficiency pilot projects in construction, a study into large-scale use of photovoltaic energy and institutional twinning projects.
