01/04/2014 (Agence Europe) - Budgets committee approves texts on own resources. On Tuesday 1 April, the European Parliament's budgets committee adopted (consultation procedure) the reports by Jean-Luc Dehaene and Anne E. Jensen on proposals for the European Union's own resources. These texts were already agreed at the Council in January this year and seek to implement the conclusions of the European Council 7-8 February 2013 on the revenues chapter contained in the compromise on the EU's Multiannual Financial Framework for 2014/2020. The high level group on own resources is expected to meet up shortly. (LC)
