Brussels, 11/03/2014 (Agence Europe) - On 12 March in Budapest, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliou will launch the new education and youth programme, Erasmus +. On 11 March, Vassiliou presented the programme in Bucharest. In 2014, Hungary will receive €31 million under the Erasmus+ programme, which constitutes an 11% increase compared to the amount obtained in 2013 under the former Education and Training for Life and Youth in Action programmes. The amount granted to Hungary will increase every year until 2020. Overall, the Commission believes that around 100,000 people will be able to benefit from the Erasmus+ programme over the next seven years. (IL)
