In order to ensure legal security, the EU Council of Ministers has formally adopted a regulation to postpone to 1 August 2014 the end-date for the migration in the eurozone of domestic and intra-European bank transfers and direct debits to the new SEPA-standard payment system (see EUROPE 11012).
