Brussels, 9/01/2014 (Agence Europe) - On 9 January, the European Commission approved the joint acquisition of French IT and communications company for insurance and re-insurance Netproassur SASU by French insurance companies Allianz IARD SA, Axa France IARD SA, Covea Risk SA, Generali France Assurances SA and Chambre Syndicale des Courtiers d'Assurances (CSCA). Netproassur was set up to provide a virtual platform for insurance companies and brokers to exchange standard messages in real time. The Commission says the deal does not give rise to any risk of bottlenecks because of the low market share and the open nature of the platform, and neither is there any risk of an uneven playing field for the insurance companies in France given the safeguards against sensitive information beings relayed by Netproassur.
