17/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - EGF activities to begin on 1 January. On Monday 16 December, the Agriculture and Fisheries Council adopted, without debate, the regulation on European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) activities. The revamped EGF (see EUROPE 10960) will be able to provide EU aid to those made redundant from 1 January until the end or 2020. (JK/transl.fl)
