Brussels, 21/11/2013 (Agence Europe) - Newy elected president of the European People's Party (EPP) after the death of Wilfried Martens, Joseph Daul from France, who has also been the leader of the EPP at the European Parliament since 2007, informed his troops in Strasbourg on 20 November, that he would not be seeking re-election as an MEP in May 2014, according to Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace. The 66-year-old MEP from Alsace has been at the EP since 1999 and wants to fully dedicate himself to be European People's Party, which is made up of 73 different national parties, ranging from the German CDU, to the Italian Freedom Party and the Hungarian Fidesz party of Viktor Orban.
