Brussels, 17/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - Thirty students from all over Europe gathered on 15 October, when Leaders for a Day 2013 came to Brussels. This pan-European initiative, organised by Junior Achievement Young Enterprise (JA-YE) Europe, gives young people the opportunity to shadow high achievers in their workplaces. The young people were given the chance to experience the daily activities of senior staff members in global companies and international banks and also EU decision-makers. Digital Agenda Commissioner Neelie Kroes was one of those taking part and she stressed how important e-leadership skills and digital entrepreneurship are for the economic growth of Europe. JA-YE President Caroline Jenner highlighted the value of these practical experiences which help young people clearly identify on the ground the aptitudes required in certain professions.
