More than 90% of EU citizens breathe in bad air

Brussels, 15/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - Despite the EU's progress in tackling air pollution, more than 90% of the population in urban zones are still exposed to dangerous air pollutant particles (PM2.5) and low atmospheric ozone, according to a new report published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) on Tuesday 15 October. This is going to get the alarm bells ringing and encourage the European Commission to revise EU legislation on air quality, just as it is preparing to propose this....
