Brussels, 10/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - As predicted (see EUROPE 10934), the European Commission decided on Wednesday 9 October to apply a 4% reduction to the direct aid paid to farmers in the 2014 budget year (2013 aid requests). This equates to a drop of €1.47 billion in the total amount available for direct aid.
