Nava has been appointed to the post of Director “Financial Institutions” in the European Commission's Directorate-General Internal Market and Services. Nava, from Italy, joined the Commission in 1994, working in the Directorate-General for Taxation and then in the Directorate-General for Budget, before working in the cabinet of the former commissioner for competition, Mario Monti, and the group of political advisers to the former Commission president, Romano Prodi. Next year, Nava will have been working in DG Internal Market and Services for ten years. (MD/transl.fl)
