Brussels, 04/09/2013 (Agence Europe) - The volume of retail trade rose by 0.1% in the eurozone and 0.2% in the EU28 in July 2013 compared with June 2013, according to figures released by Eurostat on Wednesday 4 September. In June, retail trade fell by 0.7% and 0.5% respectively.
In July 2013 compared with June 2013, food, drink and tobacco increased by 1.0% in the eurozone and 1.1% in the EU28. The non-food sector dropped by 0.4% and 0.3% respectively.
