On 15 May, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the acquisition of Parlophone Label Group by Access Industries Inc., controlled by Warner Music Group. The Commission says that the deal will not have a negative effect on competition because Warner Music Group will continue to be faced with big competitors, like Sony, Universal Music Group and independent record labels.
