12/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Vassiliou visits CERN. Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou will visit the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland, on Monday 15 April to meet scientists and researchers receiving some of the €44 million in funding from the EU Marie Curie training fund, along with members of a team that discovered the Higg's Bosun, the so-called “god particle”, (see EUROPE 10649). The Commissioner will meet people working for one of the 35 training programmes funded by the EU, ENTERVISION, which is developing new 3-D imaging techniques to help in the treatment of cancer.
