Brussels, 09/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - The top-level “.eu” domain name has just celebrated its seventh anniversary. This event provided EURid, its management body, with an opportunity to take stock of its achievements. Since it was set up in 2006, the number of registered “.eu” domain names has topped 3.74 million. “Our study shows that after seven years of operation we have a solid reputation as a quality top-level domain, suitable for large companies, but also for innovative and creative startups,” said EURid General Manager Marc Van Wesemael. Today, over 1.84 million EU residents have registered at least one “.eu” domain name, with 25% of those having registered more than one. (IL/trans.fl)
