18/02/2013 (Agence Europe) - Attack in Burgas - Sofia wants to take debate to European level. Upstream of its presentation of progress made during the investigation on the attack in Burgas, in July, which was attributed to the Hezbollah, the Bulgarian foreign minister, Nikolai Mladenov, called for European measures to be taken but did not give details of what measures he had in mind. He said they still believed that the attack was organised by persons connected to the military branch of Hezbollah. He said the debate should be inside the EU “to make sure that such activity does not go without consequences inside the EU”. In his view, although the discussion is informal, it is the point of departure for what should be done in coming months. He explained that, in a few weeks' time, the findings of the investigation will be shared with European home ministers. (CG/transl.jl)
