Brussels, 19/12/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 19 December, the European Commission unveiled a list of seven people from the world of research who will be tasked with finding the future president of the European Research Council (ERC) by January 2014. The seven people are: - Lord Sainsbury of Turville, Chancellor of the University of Cambridge; - Catherine Cesarsky, High Commissioner at the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (CEA); - Suzanne Fortier, President of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada; - Micha³ Kleiber, President of the Polish Academy; - Jadran Lenarcic, Director of the Jozef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana; - Erwin Neher, Nobel Prize in Medicine; - and Salvatore Settis, Former Director, Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa (Italy).
