Brussels, 06/12/2012 (Agence Europe) - Meeting on Tuesday 4 December, the Ecofin Council delivered conclusions on the Commission's recommendations contained in two reports based on work by the EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum (JTPF - July 2010-June 2012). Regarding the recommendations in the report on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and transfer pricing, the Council said it was aware of the need to improve the environment in which SMEs operate from the transfer pricing angle and invites the member states to implement the recommendations contained in the report. The same is true for recommendations contained in the report on cost contribution agreements on services not creating intangible assets. Together with the existing JTPF guidelines on low value adding intra-group services, the recommendations are expected to “contribute to reducing tax disputes related to intra-group services within the EU and help improve the functioning of the internal market”, the Council states.
