On 15 November a spokesperson for High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton announce that Ashton will host a meeting of the E3+3 (Germany, France, United Kingdom, United States, China and Russia) political directors in Brussels on Wednesday 21 November. “This is part of the ongoing E3+3 consultations to find a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue”, he said, adding that it is also a follow up of the ministerial E3+3 meeting in New York on 27 September.
