31/10/2012 (Agence Europe) - Mergers: MOL/JSC KazMunaiGas. On 31 October, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to the creation of a joint venture in Kazakhstan between MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Plc and its Kazakh counterpart JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production for oil and gas exploration in North Karpovsky block, near Uralsk, in the west of Kazakhstan. The deal was examined using the expedited merger control procedure. (FG/transl.fl)
