30/10/2012 (Agence Europe) - British call for contributions on the EEAS. The EU Sub-Committee on External Affairs of the British House of Lords has launched a call for contributions for an enquiry on the European External Action Service (EEAS). The sub-committee wants to influence the debate on the EEAS and to present recommendations to the House of Lords in April 2013. The organisation and functioning of the EEAS is due to be re-examined in 2013. The sub-committee poses questions - amongst other areas - on the achievements of the EEAS, its work as an institution, its staff and its cooperation with the member states - in addition, of course, to its development over the next three years and its priorities. The contributions - preferably fewer than six pages - are to be sent as a Microsoft Word document to boltone@parliament.uk before 12 December 2012. Submissions must be dated, show the name of the author, and indicate whether they are made on an individual or collective basis. (CG/transl.fl)
