Brussels, 12/10/2012 (Agence Europe) - The European Single Market Week will be launched on Monday 15 October, a five-day event to celebrate 20 years of internal market. During the week, a series of events will be held in the European institutions and in member states. The theme of this anniversary will be that of growth, as already announced on 3 October by Commissioner Michel Barnier when he presented his Single Market Act II, which provides 12 priority actions for new growth. This anniversary week will be inaugurated on Monday at the European Parliament during a conference attended by the founding father of the European Single Act and former President of the Commission Jacques Delors, as well as the current president, José Manuel Barroso, and Barnier.
