23/08/2012 (Agence Europe) - Green light for creation of joint venture by Marquard & Bahls and Linde. On 23 August the European Commission granted clearance to the proposed acquisition of joint control of a newly created joint venture by Marquard & Bahls AG and Linde AG, both of Germany. Linde supplies industrial and medical gases, equipment, engineering and services. Marquard & Bahls operates in oil trading, tank-terminal storage, aviation fuelling and renewable energy. The joint venture will be active in the bulk supply of liquid natural gas as ship fuel. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (OL/transl.fl)
