Brussels, 13/07/2012 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced on Friday 13 July that €5 million have been allocated to an EU food aid programme for Senegal. The funding will allow assistance to be provided to 314,000 people whose food reserves have been practically totally exhausted in the areas of the country most threatened by food shortages - Ziguinchor, Sedhiou and Kolda in Casamance, as well as Tambacounda, Kedougou and Matam.
