Brussels, 11/04/2012 (Agence Europe) - €22.5 million for wages and pensions in March. On 10 April, the EU paid €22.5 million to the Palestinian Authority to help it meet the cost of civil service wages and pensions (for 84,000 people) in both the West bank and Gaza in March. This contribution is allocated under the Palestinian-European Mechanism for Management of Socio-Economic Aid (PEGASE). The EU has paid out €1.3 billion since 2008, when the mechanism began.
