Brussels, 11/04/2012 (Agence Europe) - Various specialist micro-credit and energy bodies will hold study days on energy efficiency and renewable energy in Rabat from 12 to 14 April.
The purpose of this initiative, which is part of the joint-EU financed FreemE project, is to raise awareness among micro-credit users and the region's main players of the prime environmental issues, the various sources of renewable energy that already exist and more efficient energy use.
FreemE, a three-year project launched in 2008, covers Morocco and Egypt and has a total budget of €1.35 million for the two countries. It is 75% EU-funded. Some 4,800 people will have been assisted by the programme in Morocco and Egypt by 2012, it is calculated from Rabat. (FB/transl.rt)
