Government criticises Ashton's comments on Toulouse and Gaza

Brussels, 20/03/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 20 March, Israeli ministers denounced the comments made the previous day by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton, linking the killing of three children in Toulouse (France) with the situation in Gaza (see EUROPE 10577). Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak said “the comparison made by Mrs Ashton between what is happening in Gaza and what happened in Toulouse and happens every day in Syria is scandalous and has no basis...
