Brussels, 08/02/2012 (Agence Europe) - A touring exhibition featuring models of the 45 buildings shortlisted for the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture/Mies van der Rohe Award opened in the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine in Paris on 8 February. The opening was attended by the 2011 prizewinners, architects David Chipperfield and Julian Harrap. The exhibition brings together scale models of the 45 buildings which are in the running for this European prize. It will be open in Paris until 4 March. Thereafter it will travel to Leuven, Dusseldorf, Novi Sad, Vienna, Copenhagen and Milan. “I hope that many people will visit the exhibition as it tours Europe and will enjoy the array of extraordinary talent and creativity which exists in European architecture today”, said Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliou.
