P.ICT.URISM, tailor-made tourism through smart use of ICT

Brussels, 17/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission launched a tourism initiative on Tuesday 17 January to facilitate the use of new technologies by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector, with tourism demand expected to further shift from mass tourism to more tailor-made customised tourism for the individual traveller. The P.ICT.URISM (Platform for ICT in Tourism) initiative will make contract easier between travel agents and tourism service suppliers...
