12/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - 2012 European Capitals of Culture programmes set for the off. Maribor in Slovenia and Guimarães in Portugal have been designated European Capitals of Culture 2012. The two cities have well-filled schedules of events planned for the whole year. Maribor will set the ball rolling in its official programme this weekend with theatre, music and dance. Guimarães will follow suit next weekend (Saturday 21) with theatre and an open-air multimedia show. (OL/transl.rt)
