Brussels, 12/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - Two of the next satellites to complete the Galileo constellation have now been baptised Tara and Milena after the winners of a drawing competition on space for European children. Tara and Milena won the competition in their respective countries, Slovenia and Estonia, on 9 and 10 January. Their first names are added to those of the Belgian and Bulgarian winners, Thijs and Natalia, whose eponymous satellites have been in orbit since 21 October last year. In order to complete the 30-satellite constellation, it is expected that, by the end of 2012, two satellites will be placed in orbit every three months. Other names of satellites will be added to the list until March, with a wave of prizewinners per country among the children with drawing talent. (MD/transl.jl)
