09/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - New complaint from Eurofer about Chinese steel. On 6 January, the European Steel Association, Eurofer, filed an anti-subsidy complaint regarding surges in imports of Chinese organic coated sheets (OCS), which the association believes is due to massive subsidisation. This complaint comes on top of the anti-dumping investigation on the same product initiated by the Commission in December 2011. This new complaint from Eurofer details the range of specific government support programmes covering all aspects of the steel and organics coated sheet (OCS) industry, including capacity investment, production, sales and exports of the products concerned.
